World Famous Lagniappe Catering
with Andrew
Parsons
(owner-chef)
It all started in 1977 when Andrew was asked
to cook a whole pig for his father's company party. When the party
was over some of the guest had asked,
"What would it take to hire their
services?"
Soon afterwards they were catering all types
of events:
- company parties
- reunions
- weddings
- home associations
- private dinner parties
for two to twenty.
After some time in the culinary arts business, they were asked by the
chef of J Rigby's restaurant, (located in Bradenton, Florida) to cook
for their steak night, serving 200 to 300 customer per night.
That's when the chef realized his real passion was in food. At
other events they served over 1000 people.
To maintain the quality of the food served
at their events, the chef purchased from local farmers and producers.
Still, today, they purchase from local farmers and producers. Most of
the fresh seafood and crawfish come from their broker located in Kaplan,
La. (caught that day or the night before).
Their food is prepared on site, if possible, with state-of-the-art
equipment, such as our big smoker/b-b-q grill, with stainless steel
interior.
Where did world famous come into the name???
When they were located down in Florida, they had clients from Toronto -
England - Japan - and from the entire USA.
Today they do, and have, cooked for, and with, some of the best chefs in
the culinary field.
When it comes to the details they at lagniappe are
